This is an interesting period in my life. I just got married and had a baby, moved again, and am taking a break from full time work. I have time to work on art, but I'm broke and tied to baby, so much for new supplies or going lots of places. I just got one of my pieces in a juried show. I'm very excited. I put a high price on the art because its really one of my personal favorites. "This is how much you will have to pay to get it off my wall," as one of my friends says.
They say never date your art. I totally disagree, although I have been following this advice for the most part. That way you can keep artwork "current" for longer. To me, the date art was created is a key to its context.
